Funk Buster · deodorizer

Bust the funk.
Ditch the baking soda box.

Funk Buster pairs baking soda and activated charcoal inside a clean white screw-top container that looks a lot better than an open box of baking soda slumped in the back of your fridge — and won't turn to mush like soggy cardboard. Twist the lid off to refill whenever you like.

Why it beats the box

An open box of baking soda is the default fridge deodorizer — and it's mediocre. It only tackles acidic odors, saturates quietly, spills if it tips, and the cardboard slowly breaks down in the humidity. Funk Buster fixes all of that. It combines baking soda and activated charcoal in a 50/50 mix: the baking soda neutralizes acidic smells while the charcoal's porous surface adsorbs a much wider range of odors, including the stubborn, funky ones a box can't touch.

The container is 3D printed in white PLA+ — tougher and less brittle than standard PLA — so it looks clean and intentional on a shelf instead of like a torn-open grocery item, and it won't sag, soften, or fall apart the way wet cardboard does. A screw-on lid means refilling is a five-second twist, and a tea-paper lining keeps the media breathing while holding it neatly in place.

Three sizes cover wherever the funk lives. The soda-can size runs longest for full-size fridges; the energy-can size (think Red Bull can) is the everyday middle; the mini is sized for mini fridges, RV and van fridges, cars, gym lockers, and dorm rooms. Grab the 3-pack to cover the whole house — or the whole vehicle — at once.

Order any size empty and load your own media, or add filled and it arrives ready to drop in. Designed and printed in Detroit, Michigan by Detroit Prototype LLC, with our logo debossed on the base.

FAQ

What's the difference between empty and filled?

Every size comes with the tea-paper lining. "Empty" means you add your own baking soda and activated charcoal. "Filled" (+$2.50 per unit, or +$5 for the 3-pack) means it ships packed with a ready-to-use 50/50 mix.

How do I refill it?

Twist off the screw-on lid, empty the spent media, refresh the tea-paper lining if needed, and refill with a 50/50 mix of baking soda and activated charcoal. Both are inexpensive and easy to find.

How long does the filling last?

It depends on the size and how strong the odors are, but plan on refreshing every couple of months. Bigger sizes run longer between refills.

Where can I use it?

Anywhere odors collect: refrigerators, cars, dorm rooms, gym lockers, RV and van fridges, closets, and more. The mini is made for tight spots like mini fridges and vehicle cabins.

Is it safe around food?

Funk Buster sits near food in a fridge, but it isn't a food-contact container — the media stays inside behind the tea-paper lining and screw lid. Don't eat the contents; keep it away from children and pets.

What does shipping cost?

Flat-rate US shipping: $8 for 1–3 units, $10 for 4–9, free at 10+. US addresses only.
