Privacy policy

Detroit Prototype LLC ("we," "us") operates detroitprototype.com. We collect the minimum information needed to sell and ship a physical product. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for marketing purposes.

What we collect

• Order information: your name, email address, and shipping address, provided to us by PayPal after you complete checkout. We use it to fulfill your order, send order confirmation and shipping emails, and send one review-request email about 30 days after your order.
• Payment information: we never receive or store your card number, Venmo credentials, or PayPal credentials. All payment data is collected and processed directly by PayPal, Inc. under its own privacy policy.
• Reviews: if you submit a review, we publish the name and review text you provide. The email you enter with a review is kept private and used only to match the review to your order.
• Technical data: our host, Cloudflare, processes standard server logs (IP address, browser type) to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal information (except records we must keep by law) by emailing info@detroitprototype.com.

Children

This site sells airsoft accessories and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Cookie notice

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores one small value in your browser (to remember that you dismissed this notice). During checkout, PayPal sets cookies required to process your payment securely and prevent fraud; these are controlled by PayPal. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings, but checkout may not function without PayPal's essential cookies.

Terms of sale & terms of service

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

• Products. We sell 3D-printed TPU battery storage inserts designed to fit Magpul MOE and MOE+ grips on airsoft platforms. Detroit Prototype LLC is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Magpul Industries Corp.; Magpul and MOE are trademarks of their owner, used only to describe compatibility. Product photos and specifications are accurate to the best of our ability; minor cosmetic variation is inherent to 3D printing.
• Pricing. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Quantity discounts (5% on 3–4 units, 8% on 5 or more) are applied automatically at checkout. We may change prices at any time; the price at checkout is the price you pay.
• Payment. Payment is processed by PayPal (PayPal balance, Venmo, or credit/debit card). Orders are confirmed only after payment clears.
• Shipping. We ship to United States addresses only. Flat-rate shipping is $8 for 1–3 units, $10 for 4–9 units, and free for orders of 10 or more units. Orders ship from Detroit, Michigan, USA; you will receive an email with tracking information when your order ships. Risk of loss passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
• Returns. Returns are accepted for defective items only. If your item arrives damaged or is defective in normal use, contact info@detroitprototype.com within 30 days of delivery for a replacement or refund. All other sales are final.
• No accounts. This site has no user accounts and no on-site order tracking. Order status is communicated by email only.
• Reviews. By submitting a review you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to display it. Reviews are moderated and published at our discretion; we may decline or remove reviews that are off-topic, abusive, false, or unlawful.
• Intellectual property. All site content, product designs, and the DETROIT PROTOTYPE name and logo are property of Detroit Prototype LLC.
• Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Waiver of liability & assumption of risk

Read carefully. Our inserts are battery storage accessories intended for airsoft and outdoor sporting use by adults.

• Airsoft and related outdoor sports are inherently risky activities. By purchasing and using our products you voluntarily assume all risks associated with those activities.
• Our inserts store batteries; they do not charge, protect, or electrically manage them. Always inspect batteries for damage, never store damaged or leaking cells, and follow the battery manufacturer's safety instructions. Detroit Prototype LLC is not responsible for battery failure, leakage, fire, or damage to batteries or equipment.
• The inserts are weather-resistant but not waterproof and carry no certified IP rating. Do not rely on them to protect batteries from submersion.
• Products are provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Detroit Prototype LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability exclusions, so portions of the above may not apply to you.
